Drone shots showing the new housing estate next Martine Le Barth home, in South Molton Devon. Release date – May 11 2025. A couple say they returned from holiday to find a new estate being built next door - leaving them with sleepless nights, lost privacy and poor mental health. Martine Le Barth, 75, and her husband say their quality of life has been compromised by the building of homes just beyond their garden fence. They say they can't sleep, have lost sunlight and people can even see into their bedrooms. The couple moved to South Molton's Parklands estate in Devon in 1992. Martine claims they were given assurances that the land behind their home would remain undeveloped. But they were "flabbergasted" when they returned home from a six-month holiday and saw two-storey houses built next to their bungalow. They say the ongoing construction of the new homes have robbed them 'their privacy' - adding that they have been awaken with loud banging at 7am.,Image: 998035834, License: Rights-managed, Restrictions: Editorial use, commercial use may require additional licenses.
